Remembering

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me
bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all His benefits…Psalm 103:1-2

Sometimes or many times, things just don’t happen the way you want or wish it to be. But we always have a choice: to either bless the Lord regardless of the situation or to groan and moan over them. Don’t get me wrong that this is going to be another positive thinking or attitude advice. Nope, I don’t quite believe in this. When we make a choice like this it is to choose between trusting the Lord our God or to continue that things are going to get worst and there is no God to help you.

I rather choose to believe that God is supreme and sovereign. Little did I know that my mum would be admited to the hospital today. We just got back from a good night from Raffles The Plaza hotel…all things seem well until she complained about her fever and pain at her stomach. Her temperature shot up to 38.5 degree celsius. We were told that once she has a fever we need to inform the hospital.

I thank God for people who are willing to pray for her. I sent out a number of sms and requesting faithful friends to pray and intercede for her. In a situation like this, I want to allow God to intervene and to do that is to continue to allow praise and worship to flow through me. I chose to remember His loving kindness and His faithfulness. I chose to remember His mercy which is new every morning. I chose to remember His many blessings in my life he bestowed. I also chose to remember that He is still the same yesterday, today and forever! When I remember His faithfulness and kindness, I know for sure that God will intervene in the situation according to His divine will. You see, that does not always mean that the bad situation will disappear over night. Although it is possible if God Yahweh is willing. But what the Spirit really does when we respond to Him this way is to enlarge our tent, enlarge our capacity to believe in God and His divine plan.

So I pray, in the mighty name of Jesus, my Lord and Master, that my mum is in His good and loving Hands. I speak salvation into her life and I speak good health and wholeness into my mum. I know she is safe and secure in the arms of my Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank the Lord Jesus for crowning my life with lovingkindness and tender mercies…

Shalom
